Photos and Friday!

I finally uploaded our pictures from the cruise! We had so much fun, definitely a must-do-again trip.
Here we are sailing off from the port of Miami. That's the famous Fisher Island behind me.

Remember when I mentioned that one of the musts of vacation for me is sitting by the water reading magazine after magazine? Well, as soon as we set sail, I started my vacation...look at that concentration.

First stop was Nassau, Bahamas. That's the Atlantis resort behind my giant head.

Next stop, Half Moon Cay, a private beach for Carnival, and by far my favorite stop on the cruise. Why? Because it allowed me to lay on a beach chair, looking out on clear water, while reading a magazine.

While getting to the island from the ship was pretty easy, getting back to the ship took a little longer since we were waiting for the ferry with all the other guests. Such loitering makes for some interesting pictures...
Last stop, Grand Turk. It was amazing how small the island is, only 9 miles long and 2 miles wide. The water was so beautiful and clear, so we took advantage and did a little snorkeling. At both snorkeling stops, we met the resident barracudas, "Chuck Norris" and "Harry Barracuda". While the captain seems to have had a sense of humor about them, I just made sure I knew how to work my flippers in the event of a mad dash. Most unnerving to me, was when we reached the "drop-off". While riding back to the ship you can see straight to the bottom, and then, nothing, the captain said it was a drop of 7,000 feet! Such a beautiful island, peaceful, and quiet. Definitely a place I'd like to go back and visit. The last day of the cruise was a "Day at Sea", which always leads to some sort of shenanigans...At one point, the sun got so hot, that my head needed some covering up. Enter my make-shift hair wrap using my sarong...sexy.
Like I said, shenanigans.
Thanks for looking!
Have a great weekend and I'll see you on Monday!
Love,
Mango and Mangonett
