Superbowl and Jason Wu

Superbowl weekend is upon us and this year I'm hosting it at my house...oh boy. Today I'm going to try to beat the crowds and get everything I need for Sunday, start prepping everything over the weekend. However, my little personal Superbowl this Sunday will be this...
I like this banner much better. Jason Wu for Target opens Feb. 5th, which coincides with Superbowl Sunday this year. I'm not usually one to be first in line when these collections open, but I think I'm going to this time around because Jason Wu is one of my faves. These are the items I'm going to keep my eye out for...

I'm mostly looking to score one of the bags, but you never know what you'll find at your Target so let's see. Have a wonderful weekend and a great Superbowl Sunday!

SMASH

Yesterday I watched the special full-length preview for the new show SMASH. Based on the commercials I wasn't really all that interested in getting into another show, but after watching preview I'm hooked. You can check out the preview by clicking here. It's around 26 minutes long, so make sure you've got a nice half-hour to kill because if you're anything like me, you're going to be glued to the screen. Granted, I love musical theater so this was right up my ally.

I couldn't help but notice all of the great home interiors while watching the show. After a while I had to back-up and do some screen grabs for you guys...
This kitchen with the cool back splash belongs to Debra Messing's business partner, Tom. I really like the pattern and it's looks fun in such a small kitchen.
Two other things I loved about his apartment, the giant bookcase in what looks like a piano room and those cool posters hung as a gallery in his foyer...
My favorite was Debra Messing's home...
This is her kitchen, I especially love the white glass tile back splash and the glass front upper cabinets! Totally feeds into my obsession of white kitchens.
Check out the breakfast area next to the kitchen. I love the big round table and wish-bone chairs in a different finish.
Here's her bedroom full of warm colors and patterns. The color is not one of the first ones I would think of, but it looks nice up against that headboard.
Last, the bathroom floor in the show director's home. While Katharine McPhee was freaking out about having to do her best Marilyn Monroe impression (you'll understand when you watch the video), I was looking at the floors. Love that diamond pattern!

What do you think? Are you going to tune in on Feb. 6th?

Technologically Challenged

Any Modern Family fans out there?
Wednesday night's episode had me in stitches, especially the whole ordeal between Claire and her husband Phil. Apparently Claire is horrible with modern technology and Phil is the one that's the whiz and has the word "CNet" on regular rotation in his vocabulary. Well, in a nutshell, that is Mango and I. Most of the time you find me in tears screaming to my husband to "Just fix it!" when it comes to the computer, TV, cell phone, whatever. The fact that I am able to figure out this blogging thing is a miracle.
Check out the full episode here. FYI, I do that whole "pressing a whole bunch of buttons because I'm angry at the remote" thing too...stupid remote.

My Chronies are Back

It's August 20th and you know what that means right? Project Runway airs tonight on Lifetime! Whoo Hoo! I'm so excited, I've been on serious Tim Gun withdrawal. His other show just doesn't fill the void the way Project Runway does, you just don't hear him shouting "Make it Work!" on the other show. The preview for the new season makes me even more excited, especially when you get the classic Michael Kors eye roll and Nina's "that's just reeaaally bad taste" comments:

To torture my husband even more, it looks like they've added another segment to the show where they cover the models that are also competing on the show. While I'm much more interested in the designers and usually get my "model drama" from ANTM, I must say, I've always wondered about those girls who stand their in their little black dresses with pleading eyes saying "Please don't screw up". Looks wondering minds have finally been answered!

On a side note, I cannot stop laughing at Tim Gun's "I am about to lose it" comment.
Happy Project Runway everybody!
