Wedding Jump!

Happy Friday!

Tomorrow we're off to a wedding over two years in the making and we are beyond thrilled for them to be starting this amazing new chapter in their lives. I'm so excited celebrate with the happy couple, drinking bubbly and dancing the night away with my hubs, snacking on wedding cake and inventing awkward new dance moves that I'm sure will end up in the wedding video. Gotta love weddings!

Have a wonderful weekend, see you all on Monday!

Mayfair Wedding

My sister sent me some of the photos from the wedding she shot earlier this month. The couple couldn't have been more perfect and amazingly quirky and since I just can't get enough of weddings, here are a few of my favorites...

My Kind of BM Dress

I am in love with this bridesmaid dress from Amsale. This is one that I would actually where again...how many bridesmaid dresses can we say that about?

My Inner Gothic Bride

Okay, so I have a little confession. I know our wedding happened over a year ago, but every time I see something really cool that's wedding related, my mind quickly conjures up a completely different style of wedding to the one we had. I guess you can say it's my way of "redecorating" our wedding day. Don't get me wrong, I loved how our wedding turned out, but I guess it's just the inner girliness in me that wants to play wedding planner again.

For instance, in the parallel world where Mango and I had a Gothic wedding, this Claire Pettibone creation would have been my wedding dress. I love the antique embroidery, amethyst straps, and the surprise of the dark train and black rose. Gorgeous! Can you just imagine everything else? Lots of candles, dark attitude as we look into the photographers camera...too much fun.

Smooches

My favorite wedding pictures are of those capturing those special little moments between the bride and the groom, and from my experience, they are the most fun to take ;-)

Toes

Happy Friday everyone!

The weekend is here again, leaving us to our own devices and whatever shenanigans we might encounter. Today draws a close to "Our Wedding" week here at Journeys of Mangonett, thanks for popping in and looking at some wedding photos with me. Since it's Friday, and the last day of wedding week, I figured I do a "round-up" post, Joanna Goddard style! I didn't get a chance to post about other weddings that I loved and fun inspirations that I have found.

So here it is, Friday's wedding round up...

When it came to inspiration during planning, no wedding got me more jazzed up than this one: Click here, here, here, here, and here.

What would a bride do without the Snippet and the Cafe?

By far, one of my favorite groom styles.

If I could do it again, I'd go for a vintage style dress like this.

Christian Siriano was is one of my favorite contestants from Project Runway, so you can imagine how I was beyond excited to see the amazing gown he designed for this wedding.

A bride that carried a cotton bouquet? Please, go on.

So I've done the purple and green thing in the winter, my other fantasy wedding: Grays and Yellows in the Spring.

Next to peonies, my favorite flowers are anemones.

Wedding blogs...gotta love them. Click here, here, here, and here.

Hope you enjoyed today's roundup! This weekend I'm hoping to tackle that painting project that was thwarted by the sniffles last weekend. Perhaps, if I can distract Mango from the Superbowl, we can hit the beach too.

Have a great weekend everyone! See you Monday!

One Year

It's absolutely amazing to me that one year ago today, I married my best friend and the love of my life. The year has flown by and has been every much as wonderful as I had expected it to be, perhaps more. Thank you so much Mango for making me feel so happy and loved...Happy Anniversary.

*Special note to Mangonett readers:

This week is wedding week at Journeys of Mangonett in honor of our anniversary! Keep an eye out for special posts from our big day and other weddings that I have admired. Wedding week begins today, yesterday, things were still a little fuzzy. Enjoy!

Bridal Blue

While some brides look radiant in white, others decide to shine in a different color. I'm loving this wedding with it's beautiful blue and red details right down to the bride's beautiful gown. My favorite part, her matching scarf.

Pink Balloon

By far some of the most adorable engagement photos I have ever seen. If you haven't already seen Joanna's engagement photos check them out here, or if you have, they're so pretty, it won't hurt to see them again :-)
They make me want to go gallivanting around town with a big pink balloon in one hand and my husband in the other.

Wow...

These centerpieces seriously kicked my bouquet's arse. I thought my little cluster of fuchsia phaelanopsis orchids were so pretty, then I saw these wedding pictures and thought the centerpieces brought it to a whole new level. I love arrangements of one kind of flower, so pretty, so Martha.

Equally as amazing, the giant bouquets of white phaelanopsis orchids for the bridesmaids. If I were a guest at this wedding, I just might wander away with one of these beauties!
