Blonde Floors

Part of the fun of seeing homes in the house hunt is imagining the way I would change the space. After reading Bailey's posts on how she attacks ("attack" is the perfect word because she is an animal in my book when it comes to fearless design) decor, I can't help but to look at a space an imagine how I would approach it.

Yesterday we saw a house that had light, blonde wood laminate floors. I was totally stoked about the idea of wood feel throughout the house over the typical tile that you see in a Florida home. However I usually obsess over it's darker, brunette cousin, so my mind drew a complete blank when it came to how to design with light wood, which looked similar to this:

I went straight home and started looking through my Pinterest boards for some light wood inspiration love...

Light wood definitely makes everything feel light and airy, even with dark wall colors. I think I'm now a light wood floor fan!
