Today is actually my Friday!I have the day off in honor of Good Friday, so it's a three day weekend. My dad-in-law might be in town, so we'll be spending some time with him catching up.
This weekend I'm hoping to spruce up the front garden. Believe it or not, the weather has been a little funny down her in South Florida this past week. It's been in the high 60s (that's actually considered chilly) and windy. The two trees in front of my home have lost all of their leaves at exactly the same time, so it actually looks like autumn! Since they are officially bare, we can now pick up all the leaves and begin cleaning up the front yard. I'm hoping to plant some new bushes between us and the neighbors and maybe put two new topiaries in the planters out front.
With the arrival of the new sofa, it's time to start accessorizing! (Insert SNAP here). First up, a new rug. Since the sofa and the entertainment unit are both an espresso brown color, I was thinking of using a light colored rug, something natural and up to everyday wear-and-tear. We'll be stopping by the store this weekend and hopefully picking up this baby. I figured jute would do just the trick, and I've seen this one in person, it's nice and thick. I have a feeling that it's an investment that will stay with us for a while.
