Nice and Simple

I'm so happy that I stumbled upon another great blog this morning, via Adventures in Renovating a Brooklyn Limestone, called Restyled Home. While I was really excited about all the great ideas on this blog, I was jumping off my chair about her latest giveaway, the brand new Matthew Mead book, Entertaining Simple. For all of you gals (and guys) out there that love to entertain, this is a great book for inspiration, ideas, and how-tos. My favorite thing about this book is that it teaches you simple ways to make entertaining feel special, without a whole lot of fuss, and that's a major thumbs up for me. I love to entertain and make everything look beautiful and taste great for our guests, however, I'm not into fussing over things that take up a lot of time, so I was really excited by this book. You can buy it at book stores or online, but you know me, I'm going for the giveaway first!

Some people have called him the male version of Martha Stewart, however, I like the way Limestone said it, he tends to make things a little bit more modern and simple. While Martha still blows my mind every time, I really like Mead's easy going perspective on things, especially foods that look rustic and homemade, like these yummy cupcakes:
