Where are my Pom Poms?

I've always loved the look of these "pom pom" flowers in a home. They look so modern and chic, but add a bit of whimsy. The problem is that these flowers are not easy to come by in my neck of the woods. I'm not even sure what they are called to tell you the truth (if anyone knows the answer, please feel free to leave a comment with a "Duh!" at the end).

So you can imagine how intrigued and excited I was to stumble upon a tutorial on how to DIY these pom pom flowers. If you can believe it, the flowers in the photo above are actually made out of yarn! They are made to mimic the real thing, plus, they'll never die. So, that's actually a big bonus for someone with a black thumb like me.

The tutorial looks pretty easy and is full of pictures during the how-to. I might attempt this little project over the weekend. Wish me lots of happy crafting dust!
